Artist Statement
I’m a traditional artist from Plano Texas. A graduate from Angelo State University in 2023 earning a bachelor of fine arts and studio art with a focus on painting and drawing. I have created a large body of work before, during, and after graduating from college encompassing topics of personal interest. The majority of my pieces are acrylic on canvas or wood painting, but have experimented with a wide variety of artistic mediums, both 3D space and 2D picture plane. Some examples of different mediums I’ve experimented with are embroidery, print making, and scrimshaw. Along with my art I have an interest in American folk art/ storytelling and American History from pre-colonial days to the modern era which my work has been reflective of this interest.
